Before you start

The same Google account everywhere Open this page in Chrome with your Play Store's Google account: another account is the most common cause of “app not found”.

Three steps, in order

1 Join the testers' group On the Google page that opens, tap “Join group”, then come back here with the Back button.

2 Accept the invitation Tap “Become a tester”. If the page says you have no access, wait a few minutes after step 1 and try again.

3 Install Liftz The Play Store opens on Liftz: tap “Install”. Done!

Liftz can take a few minutes to show up. If the Play Store can’t find it or doesn’t show “Install”, wait a little, then try again.

What we ask of you

Stay enrolled Google only allows the release after a test with enough testers enrolled without a break. Don't leave the program, even if you barely use the app: it is also what keeps you Pro.

Log your real workouts Two or three times a week is enough. Google checks whether the app was really used.

Tell us what's wrong A button that doesn't work, a word you don't understand, an idea: everything counts, even one sentence.

Give feedback

The testers' Discord server A bug, an idea, a question, in English or French. New builds are announced there first. The testers' WhatsApp group A question, a problem, an idea: a message, a screenshot or a voice note. Your number is visible to the other testers there.

In the app Profile tab, the headset icon at the top right: report a bug or suggest an idea.

A problem?

The Play Store says “app not found”

Almost always a different Google account. Tap your picture at the top right of Chrome: the address shown must be your Play Store account's. If not, switch accounts in Chrome and redo steps 1 and 2. If the address is right, wait a quarter of an hour: the invitation sometimes takes a while.

I don't see the “Become a tester” button

Do step 1 first: the invitation only exists for members of the group. If you already did, wait a few minutes and reopen the link.

Does it cost anything?

No. The test is free, the app asks for no payment method, and every Pro feature is unlocked, for life, as long as you stay a tester.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Liftz works without an account: your workouts stay on your phone. The account is only for the online backup, if you want it. Everything is described in the privacy policy.

And once the app is released?

Stay a tester as long as you like, even forever: you get new features before everyone else and keep every Pro feature, for life. If you leave the program, the app switches to the public version by itself at the next update: free, with Pro as an option. Don't uninstall it, even if Google's page suggests so: your workouts live on the phone, and uninstalling erases them unless you have a backup.
