Terms of use

Effective September 23, 2026. The French version prevails in case of doubt.

In short

Liftz is free Some features are reserved for Liftz Pro.
Pro monthly, yearly or for life Paid through Google Play, cancellable at any time from your Google Play account.
Not medical advice Scores and calculations are estimates. You train at your own risk.

1 · Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Liftz app and its online services (account, backup, subscription). Liftz is published by Christopher Denis, an independent developer based in Belgium, reachable at contact@liftz.fit.

By installing or using Liftz, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2 · The app

Liftz is a lifting logbook. It works offline and without an account; your data is stored on your device.

The free version shows the last 13 weeks of your history — nothing beyond is deleted, older sessions stay on the device — and reserves some features for Liftz Pro. The app's features, free or Pro, may change from one version to the next.

Liftz is intended for people aged 13 and over. A purchase by a minor requires the consent of their legal guardian.

3 · Liftz Pro

The plans

  • Monthly: renews automatically every month.
  • Yearly: renews automatically every year. A new subscriber may get a free trial, whose length is shown before purchase.
  • Lifetime: a single payment, with no renewal.

Prices are shown in the app and on Google Play before purchase, taxes included; they may vary by country.

Payment

Payment is handled by Google Play, under its own terms. Liftz never has access to your payment methods.

Renewal and cancellation

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the current price, until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or from the app (Subscription → Manage Subscription). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: Pro stays active until then. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

Free trial

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the first yearly payment is charged on its end date, shown before purchase. Cancelled during the trial, the subscription costs you nothing.

Lifetime purchase

It gives access to Pro features with no time limit, for as long as the app is offered, on the Google Play account that paid for it. A running subscription is managed separately: remember to cancel it if you switch to lifetime.

Restoring

After a reinstall or on a new device, "Restore my purchases" finds your purchase, as long as you use the same Google Play account.

Withdrawal and refunds

Liftz Pro is digital content supplied immediately after purchase. Under Belgian consumer law, the 14-day right of withdrawal no longer applies once access has started with your consent. Refund requests follow Google Play's rules; if something goes wrong, write to us. Your rights under the legal guarantee of conformity remain intact.

Price changes

A price change is announced to you in advance by Google Play, under its rules. It never applies to a period already paid.

4 · Your data and your account

Your training data belongs to you. It is stored on your device: without an account or an exported backup, losing or resetting your phone can make it disappear. The online backup, with an account, reduces that risk.

The account is optional. Keep your password to yourself; you can delete your account at any time (how). How your data is handled is described in the privacy policy.

5 · Health and safety

Liftz, its training guide, scores, recommendations and calculators (1RM, loads, projections…) are provided for information. They are estimates, not medical advice, and do not replace a doctor or a qualified coach.

See a health professional before starting or intensifying training, especially if you have a health condition, an injury or are pregnant. You train at your own risk: stop immediately if you feel pain, discomfort or dizziness.

6 · Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • circumvent the limits of the free version or the subscription check;
  • decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows it;
  • disrupt the online services (backup, support) or access them on behalf of others;
  • share through Liftz any content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.

7 · Intellectual property

The app, its code, design, logo and training guide belong to the publisher. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right of use. Third-party trademarks mentioned belong to their owners.

What you create in Liftz (programs, notes, photos) remains yours; when you share it, you are responsible for it.

8 · Availability and liability

Liftz is provided as is. The publisher does its best to keep it working well, but cannot guarantee it is error-free or that the online services, which also depend on third-party providers, are always available. Should the app or a service be discontinued, you would be told in advance in the app.

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damage, for the loss of data you did not back up, or for an injury related to your training. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

9 · Changes and governing law

Changes

These terms may change with the app. A significant change is announced in the app before it applies. If you do not accept it, you can stop using Liftz and cancel your subscription.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Belgian law. In case of disagreement, write to us first: most problems are solved that way. You can also turn to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service. As a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence and may bring a claim before its courts.
